Community ‘Concussion in Sport’ Education workshop that will be hosted by Sports Medicine Australia and the NSW Government that was communicated a while back. Sports Medicine Australia and the Office of Sport has partnered to deliver a series of education workshops aiming to provide those in attendance with a greater knowledge of concussion, its prevalence, signs and symptoms, recognition and management, how to manage an appropriate return to play and long term issues.
The FREE workshop will be hosted by Sports Medicine Australia and the NSW Government commencing with one at Ballina on Monday April 30.
The workshop will be presented by highly respected researcher Dr Andrew Gardner from the University of Newcastle and this is a great opportunity for people who are involved in the sporting community to learn more about the topic from an expert in the field. Concussion is a significant and complex health issue within the Australian sporting landscape at all levels of play and in a range of sports.
